Port Jelsa is located on the northern coast of the island Hvar 14.5 miles east of the western tip of the island (by sea - 17.5 miles).
Port Yesla has 54 berths for mooring yachts at the waterfronts. Part of the berths are for transit yachts. These berths are located near the northern waterfront. The maximum allowable length of the yachts is 30 meters.
The northern shore is 2.70 to 4 meters deep. The south shore has a depth of 3.70 meters beginning from the west and the depth decreases to 2.50 meters to a minimum depth of 1.50 meters towards the south-west.
The bay is open to the north-east. It is dangerous for yachts to stay in the port during the Bora.
Port Jelsa is located in a small resort town with a developed tourist infrastructure. The city has many bars, cafes, restaurants, stores.
