Vela Garska Bay (Uvala Vela Garska) is located on the southern coast of the island of Hvar, 3.7 miles southeast of the western tip of the island.

In Vela Garska Bay, yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 3-20 meters. Seabed is sand and seaweed. It is possible to take mooring lines ashore. The bay offers excellent shelter from winds of all directions. Only with south and south-west winds the bay will have a wave.
The most popular and safest spot for yachts is the west horn of the bay. The yachts can pick up a mooring buoy and take mooring lines ashore near restaurant Mareta (Konoba Mareta). The staff of the restaurant will help you to do this.

Also you can be anchored in the east horn of the bay, but there is a beach and half of the bay is fenced off with buoys. There is a bar on the beach.
