Mljet Island

Mljet is the southernmost and easternmost of the large Adriatic islands in the Dalmatian region of Croatia. It is located 15 miles west-north-west of Dubrovnik. The island stretches from east-south-east to west-north-west for 20 miles. The maximum width of the island is about 3 miles at its western end. The most rugged part of the island is the western part. The most popular yachting moorings are located here. There are also a number of anchorages on the eastern part of the island.

The most visited places by yachtsmen are Pomena, Polace, Saplunara.

The main attraction of the island of Mljet, which attracts tourists and yachtsmen, is the Mljet Lakes National Park.
