Yacht anchorages in Xylokaravo Bay

Xylokaravo Bay (Ormos Xylokaravo) is located on the east coast of Kefalonia, one mile south of Fiskardo Fishport. The bay is unnamed on the maps. We call it by the name of the beach, located in the bay. Xylokarovo in Greek means wooden ship.

Xylokaravo is a small bay, where 4-5 yachts can be anchored at the same time. At the same time you have to lines ashore. Depths are 3-15 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed. The bay well shelters yachts from the north-westerly winds that prevail here in the summer.

The stretch of coast from the beach to the road is private property. In the summer there are often a lot of wasps in the bay.
