Fishport and the village of Agia Effimia are located on the east coast of Kefalonia in the north-west corner of the large bay of Sami.
Even though Agia Effimia is called a marina, it is more of a fishport, adapted for the mooring of yachts. The yachts are moored with their anchors stern to the north waterfront or the eastern breakwater. Depths near the waterfront are about 3 meters, on the inner side of the breakwater about 6 meters. The bottom is sand, seaweed, silt. You can also anchor in the harbor, as indicated on the map. The harbor is well sheltered from the prevailing north-westerly winds in summer.
On the waterfront there are many bars, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets and stores, lively but not too noisy.
The price per day is 1 euro per meter of long monohull yacht + 24% VAT. Additional surcharge for catamarans. Water - 5 euros. Two showers are available: one for 2 euros only shower, and one for 3.5 euros with showers and toilet.
