The village of Osor is located on the west coast of the island of Cres, 16 miles south ( 22 miles by sea) of the town of Cres. Osor has a drawbridge that connects the islands of Cres and Losinj. The bridge opens twice a day (at 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) for the passage of yachts.
More often than not, yachts stop in Osora while waiting for the channel bridge to open. On the north side of the channel, a few yachts can be moored at the eastern city waterfront
or anchored in Bijar Bay, 0.3 miles north-east of Osor vilage.
On the south side of the channel, yachts can pick up one of the mooring buoys
or moored to a floating pontoon.
About 45 yachts up to 18 meters long can be moored at the pontoon. The depth of the pontoon is about 2 meters.
In the village there are several bars and restaurants.
