Zania Bay is located on the west coast of Cres Island, 6 miles south-west of Cres Town ( by sea 9.7 miles).

Yachts are anchored all around the bay at depths of 5-20 meters. The seabed is sand and rocky outcrops. Holding is good on the sand. The bay shelters the yachts from the easterly and northerly winds and waves. Night anchorage can be recommended in calm weather.

The Bay is popular because of the Blue Grotto Cave, located on the south-eastern shore of the bay.
