Zverinac Island

Zverinac Island is located one mile off the north-east coast of Dugi Otok Island in Croatia and two miles west of Sestrunj Island . The island is only 1.6 square miles and is relatively low. Just under 50 people live on the island. Tourists vacation here in the summer and many tourist boats come with short visits from the mainland.

There is only one settlement on the island, the village of Zverinac. It is located on the west coast of the island. Zverinac port provides good shelter for yachts in the prevailing winds, but is open to the south and dangerous in strong southerly winds. There are almost no places suitable for anchorage of yachts on the island, as the depths are too deep everywhere.
