Meli Bay is located on the east coast of Cres Island, 7 miles from the eastern tip of the island. Not to be confused with the Bay of the same name on the south-east coast of Cres Island.

Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 5-7 meters. The seabed is sand. Holding is good. The bay is open to the south and south-east and provides some shelter from the Bora.
The northern shore of the bay is a popular sandy beach.
