Kolorat Bay is located on the north-east coast of Cres Island 0.8 miles ( 1.6 miles by sea) north-west of the eastern tip of the island.

There are about 25 mooring buoys for yachts in the bay. The bay shelters yachts well from winds and waves of all directions, except northerly and north-westerly. Mooring at the buoys is payable.

The shores of the bay are wild. Periodically there are a lot of wasps in the bay.
The place is popular. In high season, most of the buoys are busy by mid-day. Book buoys in advance.
