Sarakiniko Bay (Ormos Sarakiniko) is located on the east coast of Ithaki, 3 miles to the north of Cape St. Ioanis (Ag. Ioanis), the south-eastern tip of the island.
Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 5-20 meters along the shores of the bay. The bottom is mostly hard sand and some seaweed. Yachts mostly takes lines to the shore. Shelter from the prevailing winds and waves of north-west direction is good. The most sheltered and comfortable anchorage is a small cove in the west of Sarakiniko Bay. There is a beach and tavern on the north-western shore.
