Yacht anchorages in Dnexia bay

Dnexia Bay (Ormos Dnexia) is located on the south coast of the large bay of Aetou (Molou), which practically divides the island of Ithaca in two.

Dnexia Bay is not often visited by yachts, because it is open to the north-west and does not shelter yachts from the prevailing north-west winds. Anchorage is recommended near the north-east shore of the bay, away from the noisy water intake near the west shore. Depths are 5-15 meters. Bottom is seaweed. It may take several attempts for the anchor to pass through the seaweed and get well fixed on the sand.
