Kourvolia Bay (Ormos Kourvolia) is one of the bays of the rather large Frikes Bay in the north-east of the island of Ithaca. On the maps the Bay is unnamed. We call the bay by the name of the beach in it.
The bay is quite deep, so you can be anchored along the shores of the bay or in one of the two small coves in the south-west of the Kourvolia Bay. When possible, yachts anchor in these coves at depths of 5-10 meters. The bottom is seaweed with sand patches. Holding is good on the sand. Note the underwater cable running along the north-west shore of the bay.
You can walk to Frikes Village, where there are several taverns, bars and a mini-market 1.1 km by road.
