Drakonera Islands

The small archipelago of Drakonera, consisting of nine uninhabited islets (Drakonera, Kalogiros, Sofia, Lamprinos, Filippos, Karlonisi, Pistros, Tsakalonisi, Provati and Pontikos) lies off the mainland coast of the Inner Sea opposite the entrance to Astokou Bay, 14 miles north-east of Ithaki Island. The archipelago extends from north-west to south-east for only 3.5 miles. The islands are hilly, some of them covered with forest. There are several places on the islands that can be used as anchorages for yachts. The archipelago is visited by yachts rather rarely.
