Tinos is the only sheltered harbor on the island. It is a large commercial port with frequent ferries entering and leaving. Yachts can be moored in three sites marked on the map.

Transit yachts are moored mainly to the western section of the waterfront (1). The depth at the embankment in this section is about 3 meters.

In the area (2) to the east of the protruding part of the waterfront depth (3-4 meters) also allows mooring yachts, but here almost all the berths are occupied by locals.

The third option (3) - yachts can be moored at the edge of the pier in the eastern part of the bay. The depth at the edge of the pier is about 2.5 meters. In all three places yachts are moored stern or bow to the pier with their own anchor. Holding is good on the muddy bottom.

Tinos harbor is well sheltered from the prevailing winds. Gusts will only be felt in winds greater than 6 Beaufort. Ferries come into the harbor and create a nuisance wave. The waterfront is quite noisy.

There are many bars, cafes and restaurants, supermarkets in the town.
