Folegandros is a small island in the southern part of the Cyclades archipelago. The nearest islands are Sikinos, 5 miles east-north-east and Milos, 15 miles west-north-west.
The island stretches from south-west to north-east. The island's ferry port of Karavostasis is in the middle of the south-east coast of the island. The coastline is fairly smooth. There are few places suitable for anchoring yachts. At the port of Karavostasis, yachts can be moored to the pier.
The main attraction of Folegandros is its capital, Chora, built on a 200 meter high rock.
