The northern part of Ko Yao Noi located in 18 miles from Yacht Haven Marina on Phuket.
1 - The anchorage on the northeast side of Ko Yao Noi is a good shelter when the northeast monsoon blows - from May to October. The anchorage is located about 100 meters southeast of a small rock outcrop. Anchoring at a depth of about five meters on the muddy bottom. Holding is good. Several families of fishermen live in huts on the beach. Opposite the beach is a fish farm. On the shore there is a hotel and restaurant.
2 - Yacht anchorage in the northwest of Yao Noi Island is good for yachts when the southeast monsoon blows - from November to April. The anchorage is located on the outer edge of the bay with mangroves. Anchor on 4-5 meters. Holding is good on muddy bottom. It holds well in the muddy bottom. At low tide the bay is shallow enough. On the shore the beach and a few huts in the depth of the bay.
3 - Anchorage for yachts off the west shore of Ko Rio just south of the small rocky island. Yachts are anchored at a depth of 5-6 meters. The bottom is muddy with inclusions of rocks. There are a few fishing huts on the beach and fishing boats are anchored here often. It is not advisable to stay here overnight in the south-west winds.
4- Anchorage for yachts between the west shore of Ko Ku Du Yai and a small island to the west of it. The anchorage is good for any season. Anchor a depth is about 6 meters on the mud. Holding is good. There are interesting caves and hongs on the big island. They available to explore by dinghy.
