Yacht anchorage off Tanjung Dendang Island

The yacht anchorage at Tanjung Dendang Island is located in the north-east of Langkawi Island.

Enter the channel between Langgung Island and Tanjung Dendang Island from the south only through the center of the strait. Navionics maps indicate depths of less than 5 meters in the channel, but there have been reports that this is much deeper (up to 10 meters) here. Anchor in the first bay of Langgun Island, but beware of shallow water further north. This is a beautiful anchorage surrounded by rainforest. There are some interesting caves on Tanjung Dendang. There are no restaurants, but there is a fish farm.
