Yacht anchorage in Botol Bay

The yacht anchorage is located at Botol Bay (Teluk Botol) in the east of Singa Besar Island (Pulau Singa Besar).

Yachts are anchored in the central part of the bay at a depth of 4-5 meters. The bottom is muddy. Holding is good. Not suitable for yacht anchorage during the north-east monsoon season, i.e. in winter.

The island is a wildlife sanctuary with many local sea eagles. The bay is often visited by tourist boats for eagle watching.

There is a small beach on the south cape, but beware of wild monkeys. There are no restaurants.
