Malaysia

Malaysia is a state in South-east Asia, consisting of two parts separated by the South China Sea:
West Malaysia (traditional name - Malaya) occupies the southern part of the Malacca Peninsula, bordered by Thailand to the north, Singapore on the south, and Indonesia through the Straits of Malacca.
East Malaysia (traditional name Sabah and Sarawak) occupies the northern part of the island of Kalimantan, bordered by Brunei to the north and Indonesia to the south.
There is only one region in Malaysia that is interesting for travelers on chartered yachts. It that is the Langkawi Archipelago on the border with Thailand.
