Yacht Mooring in Loutra fishport

Fishport Lautra is located on the east coast of Kithnos, two miles to south of the northern tip of the island.

The best mooring place for yachts in Lautra is inside the harbor, with the stern or bow to the east breakwater at own anchor or alongside to the short, narrow breakwater to the west of it. The depths near the breakwaters are about 3-4 meters. When the weather is calm you can moor your boat from the outer side of the breakwaters. There is water and electricity. Shower and toilet in the office building. Several taverns on the coast. There is a mini market.

If there is no room in the harbor, you can anchor in the bay southeast of the port. It is only 0.3 miles to the harbor. Depths are 3-10 meters. The bottom is sand, silt, algae. The anchor holds poorly in strong winds. There are a couple of taverns on the shore. The hot spring is at the end of the beach.
