Two small islands of Rhinia and Delos are located near Mykonos, just west of it. Mykonos and Delos are separated by a strait just over a mile wide.
Delos, according to Greek mythology, is the birthplace of Apollo and was once the religious, cultural and commercial center of the Cyclades. Today it is an island museum.
Uninhabited Rinia, on the other hand, is interesting because there are many anchorages around the island, allowing yachts to find shelter in any wind direction and crews to visit Delos, off the coast of which yachts can anchored only during the day.
Both islands are low, lifeless, without vegetation or water.
The closest places to rent a yacht for a trip to Rhinia and Delos are Naxos and Paros Islands, but if you rent a yacht in Lavrion, with favorable weather conditions, you can sail to these islands in a week and come back.
