Badija island is located off the north-east coast of Korcula island and separated from it by the Jezevica strait. The anchorage is located at the south side of the island. From the anchorage to the old town of Korcula is 2.5 miles to the north-west.
Yachts are anchored in front of the monastery at a depth of 5-10 meters. The bottom is sand, silt, seaweed. It may need several attempts for good anchor holding. Badia Island is a good shelter for yachts from northerly winds.
It is not recommended to sail between Badija Island and Planijak Island, because maximum depth in the strait is about 2 meters.
You can have a pleasant walk on the monastery island with the opportunity to feed the deer. The old town of Korcula can be reached by water taxi (tel: +38598512923 Mario).
