Javic Bay (Uvala Javic) is located on the north-east coast of Korcula island in the strait Jezevica. The bay is located 4 miles south-east of the old town of Korcula. On the Navionics maps the bay is marked as Raciste.
Yachts are anchored all around the bay at depths of 5-15 meters. The bottom is sand, silt, seaweed. It may need several attempts to break through the layer of seaweed and get a good anchor holding. The bay is sheltered from the north-east by Vrnik island and well shelters yachts from winds of all directions.
There is a good tavern on the south-east shore of the bay and a winery on the north-west shore. There is a bus to the old town of Korcula, but it is not always on schedule. It takes about an hour to walk. The village of Lumbarda, where many restaurants, bars and a supermarket is about a 20 minute walk.
