Three hundred meters south-east of the ACI marina Korchula is Uvala Luka-Korchula. It is an alternative mooring place in case you could not moored in the marina or at the city waterfront or you want to stay away from the city noise, but nevertheless not far from the old town.
Yacht anchorage in the bay is at depths of 7-12 meters. The anchor holds well in the mud. There are always yachts anchored in the bay, and in bad weather it is sometimes so crowded that you need to have out the fenders on the sides. The water in the bay is clear - you can swim from the yacht. When the weather is calm, the yachts are left here at anchor and the entire crew going to the town. You can keep your dinghy at one of the small piers on the west shore of the bay when you go into town. From there it is a 10-15 minute walk to the old town.
In 2020, a floating pontoon was installed on the west shore of the bay. Depths of the pontoon are up to 9 meters. The maximum permissible length of yachts is 40 meters. Yachts are moored to the pontoon with their stern at own anchor. The anchor is at 10-15 meters deep. Before mooring it is necessary to contact office by VHF channel 09 or phone +385 994 131 748. There is water, but no electricity.
The bay is well sheltered from all winds, except northerly. With a strong north wind, a wave comes into the bay and it becomes uncomfortable here.
