The entrance to the bay is three miles WNW from Pawlenty Bay. The location is famous for its stonecutting tradition; stone from quarries nearby was used in the construction of the White House in Washington. The name is derived from the Latin word "puteus" which means "good".

The main yacht anchorage is on the waterfront of the west harbor and offers good shelter for yachts up to 15 meters in most wind directions, except Bora. Depths at the entrance are about 25 meters, inside the harbor 3.0 - 5.0 meters.

There are two main options for mooring yachts in Pucisce harbor.

The western harbor consists of a water area partially sheltered by two short breakwaters. It is the main harbor of the city. There are about 20 moorings, but some are occupied by local yachts, leaving usually 8-10 moorings for guests. It is possible to moor yachts not more than 15 meters long. Depths of 3.5 - 4.0 meters. Toilet, shower and garbage cans on the breakwater. Shelter is good from all winds, except strong northern and north-eastern.

North Waterfront: This is the waterfront mooring on the north side of the bay. However, this pier is regularly used by excursion boats and is always busy. But from here it is very convenient to get to the nearby Studenac supermarket. The depths here are 4.0 - 5.0 m, but there is very little to moor to, so you have to use lampposts and rocks.

The small eastern bay, "around the corner" from the main harbor, which was used for mooring "guest" yachts is now full of small boats. In any case, it is worse shielded from northerly and north-easterly winds than the main harbor.

Another anchorage in the bay, near the quarries, 500 meters east of the entrance to the bay, although the view there is not very attractive, it is industrial. Yachts are anchored in the center of the bay at a depth of 5.0 - 6.0 m, seabed is sand and silt. Shelter from most winds, except for the northern quarters. Alternative yacht anchorage with shelter from northerly winds, only on Uvala Luka, west bay, in Povlja bay, two miles west of the town of Povlja.

There is no fueling station. Water and electricity on the waterfront in West Harbor. Several supermarkets, grocery stores, fruit and vegetable market. There are numerous restaurants and cafes and bars on the shore. For lovers of outdoor activities here are ideal conditions for windsurfing, paragliding, water skiing and diving.
