Supetar town is located on the northern coast of Brac Island.
The harbor consists of an outer basin behind the long breakwater, oriented from east to west, and a smaller inner basin behind the wide pier, which is used by ferries. Depths at the entrance are 6.0 meters; in the outer harbor 5.0 meters and in the inner harbor 3.0-4.0 meters. The outer harbor is used by ferries and merchant vessels mooring along the breakwater or pier on the south side. Small vessels on moorings occupy the rest of the outer basin. The inner basin is also filled with small boats, except the short pier on the east side, where about four yachts can be moored at the end of the pier.
The pier along the street Vlacica (150 m) offers about 30 berths for yachts to west of the harbor. There is water and electricity on this waterfront. The waterfront is open to the winds of northern directions.
For yachtsmen, the city may be interesting with a sightseeing program or an opportunity to shelter from southern gales.
Supetar is the largest and fastest growing city on the island. The city is connected to the mainland by a ferry. The ferry goes from Split to Supetar for 45 minutes. Because the city and the island is popular with tourists, most people speak foreign languages - English, Italian, German. There are many restaurants, bars, stores.
