Nydri Falls

Nidri is the largest center of tourism on the island of Lefkas, located on the eastern, green rich coast of the island. In the sea opposite lie the islets of Madouri (island of Valaoriti), Sparti, Helonaki, Skorpios (private property of the Onassis family) and nearby is the peninsula of Agia Kyriaki with Derpfeld house on top.

2 km from Nidri in the inner part of the island, behind the village of Rakhi, there are the waterfalls of Nydri. In midsummer the waterfalls turn into small streams, but even at this time it is cool and very beautiful.

Nidri can be reached by car from Lefkas, and directly to the waterfalls there is a hiking trail about 800 m long. To enjoy the walk to the fullest it is better to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Yachtsmen should leave their boats at one of the piers of Nydri Bay and walk to the waterfalls.
