Mandraki Bay is enough large and sheltered from all winds except the north. It is an alternative to the marina of Hydra harbor, which is always crowded during the high season. Almost all charter yachts rented in Athens are visiting to Hydra.
Mooring of yachts in the Mandraki Bay - on its own anchor at a depth of 12-20 m. You can take mooring lines to the shore. Along the north-eastern shore of the bay the depths increase faster as you move away from the shore than near the south-western shore, so if you want to take mooring lines to the north-eastern shore, you should have enough long anchor chain, that to drop anchor at a depth of just over 20 m.
In the head of the bay there is a tavern with a pier, to which the water cab comes. It will take yachtsmen quickly to Hydra Harbor. There is also a road that can be used to walk into town. The distance to town is just over a mile.
