Yacht anchorage in Dufour Bay

Dufour Bay (Anse Dufour) is located on the west coast of Martinique 15.5 miles north-west of the southern tip of the island.

Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 3-10 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed. Holding is good on the sand. You should not be anchored too close at the beach, as it may cause a conflict with the fishermen who set their nets right from the beach. The bay shelters yachts well from the prevailing (easterly) winds and waves.

The bay is quite crowded, as it is often visited by car tourists. There is an expensive restaurant on the shore.
