Mitan Bay (Anse Mitan) is located on the southern shore of the Bay of Fort de France in the west of Martinique.
Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 3-6 meters. The bottom is sand with stones and seaweeds. Holding is good. There are quite a lot of mooring buoys scattered around the bay. The bay well shelters yachts from the prevailing (easterly) winds and waves, but there is almost constant waves from passing ferries.
There is a pier at the north part of the bay where you can moor your dinghy.
There are several restaurants, a bakery, a small market and a laundry on the shore. Fort de France can be reached by high-speed ferry.
