Black Bay (Anse Noire) is on the west coast of Martinique 15.7 miles north-west from the southern tip of the island.
Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 3-10 meters. The bottom is black sand and seaweed. The anchor holding is good on the sand. The bay shelters yachts well from the prevailing (easterly) winds and waves.
The clear water is good for snorkeling. There are few people on the shore. There is a long pier to which you can moor your dinghy. A path and stairs take you to the village of Anse Dufour, where are several restaurants.
