Bouillante Bay (Anse Bouillante) is located on the west shore of Bass Terre Island, 12 miles north-north-west of the southern tip of the island.
Yachts can be anchored all around bay at a depth of 7-10 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed. The anchor holds well on the sand. The bay is open to the west and shelters yachts well from the prevailing winds and waves. The best shelter is in the southern part of the bay, where the village is located and there is a pier where you can leave your dinghy.
The northern part of the bay is quieter. There are no local boats here.
Next to the pontoon near the village there is a gas station, several stores, a local market with a butcher shop, two ATMs and a geothermal power station. There are three good and cheap restaurants in the village. The hot spring flowing into the sea is a local attraction at all times of the day.
