Deshaies Bay (Anse Deshaies) is located on the west coast of Bass Terre Island, 5 miles south-west of the northern tip of the island.
Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at a depth of 10-15 meters outside the buoy field. Bottom is mostly sand and some seaweed. Holding is good. You can also pick up one of the many mooring buoys. The bay shelters yachts well from the prevailing winds and waves. There may be ripples. Strong gusts of wind are possible.
You can be moored your dinghy in a small fishport.
Nearby many restaurants (pizza, lobster, Creole, etc.), cafes, ice cream cafes, bakery, small supermarket, everything you need. Check-in/check-out procedures at the Pelican. Don't forget to visit the botanical garden.
