Yacht anchorage in the Great Bay (Grande Anse)

Great Bay (Grande Anse) is located on the west shore of Bass Terre Island, 10 miles north-north-west of the southern tip of the island.

Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at a depth of 3-7 meters in the sand. Holding is good. The bay shelters yachts from the prevailing winds and waves, but the bay can be rippled by north-easterly winds.

The bay has a large sandy beach. There are bars and restaurants, small grocery stores.
