Baie Mahault is on the north shore of Bass Terre Island, 2 miles west of the Salt River that separates Bass Terre and Grand Terre Islands.
Yachts are anchored in the middle of the bay at a depth of 3-5 meters opposite the pontoons. The bottom is muddy. Holding is good. The bay perfectly shelters yachts from the prevailing winds and waves. Almost always the bay is quiet and the water is smooth.
Approach to the bay by fairway marked with buoys.
On the shore of the bay is a small town with a large shopping center Destrellan, which includes, among others, three large stores: Carrefour, Monsieur Bricolage and Decathlon. The shopping center is one and a half kilometers away. There are small stores and restaurants on the shore of the bay.
