Cuba (Republic of Cuba) is an island country in the northern part of the Caribbean Sea. The country occupies the island of Cuba in the Greater Antilles, the Isla de la Juventud, and many smaller islands. Cuba is separated from North America by the Strait of Florida to the north and the Yucatan Strait to the west. Cuba, despite its more than mediocre yachting services, is of interest to yachtsmen because of the untouched nature of the islands and the underwater world of the Caribbean Sea.
Cuba's main international airport is Havana Jose Marti International Airport. The yacht marina of Cientfuegos is 250 kilometers southeast of it.
