The small coral island of Cayo Guayo lies four miles south-east of the Trinidad Marina.
Yachts are anchored to the west of the island at a depth of 2-4 meters. The anchorage somewhat shelters yachts from the prevailing easterly winds.
This anchorage is often used by fishing boats, staying here overnight after setting nets. The fishermen are happy to trade fish and seafood for rum.
