Barcos Bay (Ensenada de Los Barcos) is located in the northwest of Isla de la Juventud, 17.5 miles north of Marlin Colony Marina (about 25 miles by sea) and 10 miles west of the island's capital, Nueva Gerona (about 18 miles by sea).

Depths in the bay are 2.5-4 meters at low tide. The bay shelters yachts well from the prevailing easterly and north-easterly winds, but it's open to the south-west. The bay is used as a shelter by fishing boats.
