Yacht anchorage off Rosario Island

Rosario Island (Cayo del Rosario) is located 20 miles west of Cayo Largo.

The yacht anchorage is located off the west coast of the island in the Canal De Rosario, at a depth of about 2-4 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed.

The passage from the outer side of the reef (from the south) into Rosario Channel is marked with buoys.

This anchorage is also used by local fishermen.

From the neighboring island of Cayo Cantiles, National Park rangers sometimes approach to anchored yachts to sell fish or lobsters.
