Toscana region of Italy includes the Toscana coast from Livorno in the north to Argentario in the south and Toscana Archipelago, a group of islands between the Ligurian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Toscana archipelago includes seven islands (Elba, Giglio, Giannutri, Capraia, Pianosa, Montecristo and Gorgona) and many small islets and rocks. The largest of these is Elba Island.
All islands are part of Toscana Archipelago National Park, the largest marine national park in the Mediterranean.
Elba, Capraia and Giglio are accessible by yacht. The largest and most famous island of the archipelago, Elba, is connected by ferry with the mainland and the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and Capraia.
Most often yachts are visiting Elba and Capraia. If you are traveling by charter yacht, it usually starts on the Toscana coast of Italy in the marinas of Scarlino or Punta Ala and includes Elba, Capraia and the French island of Corsica.
