The city of Viareggio is the northernmost port on the Toscana coast of Italy, located about 20 miles south of the Gulf of La Spezia.
The yacht harbor consists of five main basins.
The harbor of Darsena della Madonnina is the largest and closest to the port. The harbor is 4.5 meters deep and consists of piers and pontoons for 570 yachts up to 16 meters long. There is water and electricity at the piers. There are toilets and showers on shore.
Nuova Darsena, the southernmost harbor, is designated for fishing boats only.
Darsena Europa - is located east of Darsena dellfa Madonnina with depths of 3.5 meters. Most of the pontoons here are operated by Club Nautico Versilia, but some of the berths are available for transient yachts.

Darsena Italia is the next in the chain after Darsena Europa. Depths are about 3.0 meters. In this harbor there are several yachting yards, as well as quays where yachts can be moored alongside.
Darsena Toscana is the harbor to the east of Darsena Italy. It is reserved for small fishing and motor boats only.
Most of the berths in the various harbors are leased to private firms and it is not always clear where transient yachts are allowed to pier, so it may be necessary to "be Italian" and just moor, wherever you see available berth.
