Talamone harbor is located in a sheltered natural bay eight miles north of the rocky cape of Monte Argentario on the Tuscan coast of Italy.
Depths at the pontoons range from 3.5 meters at the pontoons adjacent to the breakwater to 2.0 meters or less at the more northerly pontoons. The pontoons are privately owned and, if space is not available, yachts may berth at the quay, where yachts up to 12 meters in length are allowed to moor for up to three days (provided that the space is not used by commercial vessels). Larger yachts up to 24 meters in length may moor at the quay in front of the Baia di Talamone Hotel (provided that the space is not used by commercial vessels).
With stable weather or moderate winds NW-N-E, yachts can be anchored in Talamon bay north-east of the harbor at depths of 3-8 meters. Holding is good on muddy bottom.
