Fishport Astros is located in the north-eastern of Peloponnese in the gulf of Argolikos, 10 miles south-south-west of Nafplio.
In Astros Fishport, yachts can be moored either to the south-east breakwater, or to one of the two floating pontoons connected to the south-west breakwater, or to the section of the south-west breakwater between the pontoons and the end of the breakwater. The depths near the south-east breakwater are 3-7 meters, near the pontoons are 2.5-5 meters. Yachts are moored to the breakwaters either at their their stern or bow to the pier with their anchors, or alongside to pier, if there are enough free berths. The bottom of the harbor is mud and seaweed. Anchor does not always hold well.
The harbor provides yachts with good shelter from winds of all directions. In the evening, strong gusts of wind can flow from the mountains.
There is water and electricity at the breakwaters.
Earler Astros was a quiet fishing village, but today it is a tourist resort, mainly focused on domestic tourism. In the town on the mountain there is a large medieval castle, near the south-east breakwater there are ruins of some classical buildings. On the coast there are many taverns, bars, restaurants and stores.
