Port of Spilia lies in the same name bay on the northern coast of Meganisi Island.
Mooring of yachts is possible at several piers in the north-western and south-eastern parts of the bay.
1 - North-west waterfront and tavern pontoons.
This waterfront of about 100 meters is located between the short breakwater in the north and the fishing harbor in the south.
Yachts can be moored along the entire waterfront as well as the outer side of the breakwater of the little fishing harbor. In total about 35 yachts can moored here with their stern or bow to the pier. The depths on all waterfront are about 3 meters. There is water and electricity, but the number of connection points is not enough. The connection power is insufficient and often the connection of a powerful consumer on any yacht shuts down all.
Further south there are three rather flimsy pontoons of Porto Spilia Taverna, which can accommodate up to 25 yachts. Depths range from 2.0 to 3.0 meters offshore on the northernmost pontoon to more than 20 meters at the end of the southernmost pontoon. They all have stationary mooring lines and the south pontoon has power distribution racks. All these pontoons are not very comfortable in bad weather, and the southernmost pontoon can even be dangerous in a northern storm.
2 - East waterfront and tavern pontoons
This mooring can be identified by the conspicuous white building on the eastern sandy beach. Approximately 25 yachts can moor at the waterfront, but the depths at the pier are only 1.0 to 1.5 meters, so most yachts must be bowed to the pier.
On the waterfront there is only one point to connect the yachts to electricity with two connectors (fee 5 euros per day). Mooring here is comfortable only in calm weather. A small fishing harbor is available at the northern end of this waterfront. It can accommodate about eight yachts at a depth of 3.5 to 4.0 meters. Again, there is only one point to connect the yachts to electricity with two outlets (fee 5 euros per day). The shelter for the yachts here is better than on the waterfront, but it is also not comfortable in strong northerly winds.
