The mainland coast of the Ionian Sea stretches more than 300 nautical miles from the border with Albania in the north to the southern tip of the Peloponnese peninsula. Three relatively isolated sections of the coast can be distinguished: from the border with Albania to Preveza; the mainland coast of the so-called Inland Sea from the northern tip of Lefkada to Cape Arcoudi opposite the southern tip of Zakitnos and further to the south - the western coast of the Peloponnese peninsula.
On the coast there are marinas, although not so much, and small fish ports, and coves with convenient anchorages.
Yachtsmen visit the mainland coast of the Ionian Sea not as often as the islands of the Ionian Sea, however, there are many interesting places.
