The small town and port of Gran Tarajal (Puerto de Gran Tarajal) is located on the south-east coast of Fuerteventura, 27 miles east-north-east of the western tip of the island.
The port of Gran Tarahal has 170 berths for yachts at the floating pontoons. The maximum permissible length of yachts is 14 meters. Depths in the marina are up to 5 meters. In strong southerly winds the entrance to the port can be dangerous. Prices are about one euro per meter of length of a monohull. The port is crowded with yachts only during the start of the ARC.
In northerly winds or calm weather the yachts can be anchored opposite the beach to the east of the port at depths of 3-8 meters. The bottom is sandy. Holding is good.
