Anchorage in the area of the port of Las Palmes is located between the two marinas near the beach of Alcaravaneras (Playa de las Alcaravaneras).
Anchor at a depth of 7-12 meters. The bottom is sand, silt and garbage. Holding is good. Anchorage in the port of Las Palmas is payable. You must come to the harbor master's office to pay for it. Otherwise you may get in trouble with the police. The marina allows you to go inside to fill water and charge your batteries for one hour a day. Anchorage is not allowed here from March through September. The anchorage is well protected from all winds except the south wind.
The bottom here is dirty and there is a lot of junk. It is not uncommon to have to call a diver to free a stuck anchor. Passing ships make waves.
