Yacht anchorage at Cape Perchel

Cape Perchel (Punta del Perchel) is located in the south-east of La Gomera Island, 4.5 miles south-west of the island's capital, San Sebastian.

The yachts anchor west of Cape Gorda opposite Suarez Beach at a depth of 8-10 meters on the sandy bottom. Holding is good. Try not to be anchored in less depth, because at about 6 meters depth there is a rock on which the anchor can get caught.

The anchorage at Cape Gorda is well sheltered from northerly and north-westerly winds. In strong north-easterly winds it can be swell.

It is excellent snorkeling around the bay.
