The anchorage at Pan Lo Yai on the east coast of Lanta lies far away from the bustling tourist spots of Thailand. Even yachtsmen don't get here very often.
The landmark is a long pier on the shore. The anchor at 3-4 meters depth. Holding is good on the sandy bottom. From the south end of Lanta it is about 9 miles here. This route goes through quite shallow water. We get off the yacht by dinghy, which keep at the end of the long pier. There's a nice clean village with a few stores, restaurants, and souvenir shops on the shore.
